｜The Notification Feature Understands Your Needs｜
Did you know? NTU COOL notifications can be fully customized~
Thanks to users’ experiences and feedback, after extensive research and interviews, we’re proud to announce:
“The NTU COOL notification feature has been UPGRADED!!”
Come customize your notifications so you NEVER miss important updates again.

The interface descriptions are now simpler and easier to understand.
For course activities such as new assignments, quizzes, and discussion replies, you can freely choose among four notification frequencies that suit you best:
Immediate notifications, daily summaries, weekly summaries, or turning notifications off.

｜Control Your Own Notifications! Where Can You Set Them?｜
After logging into COOL, click “Account” on the left menu ＞ select “Notifications” ＞ choose the “Settings for”.

Account: Apply settings to all courses at once.
Individual Courses: Fine-tune notifications for individual courses.

Click the “bell” icon next to each item to switch notification frequencies anytime.
Not sure what a notification item means? No worries — hover next to the text to instantly see detailed explanations.

｜FAQ｜
❓ Are there any notifications I will always receive and cannot turn off?
Yes. When instructors or TAs post a “Course Announcement,” or when someone sends you a message through the “Inbox,” you will immediately receive a system notification email to ensure you never miss the most important information. (These notifications can NOT be manually disabled.)

❓ Why am I still not receiving emails even after turning all the bells on?
First, please check your spam folder and make sure your mailbox storage is not full.
Also, notification emails are sent to your school email account or the email address you registered with, so make sure you’re checking the correct inbox.

❓I’m a student. Will COOL automatically notify me about assignments, quizzes, and grades that matter most?
You decide! On the Notifications page, you can adjust the notification frequency for “Due Date Changes,” “Course Content Change,” and “Grade Postings and Changes” to stay updated on assignments, quizzes, and grades. (For detailed setup instructions, please refer to the Student User Manual.)

❓I’m an instructor/TA. Which features can help me manage my course more efficiently?
The “Late Assignment Submission” feature under 【Course Activities】 and the “New Reply” feature under 【Discussions】 help you keep track of students’ assignment submission progress and discussion board interactions. (For detailed setup instructions, please refer to the Instructor/TA User Manual.)
