Introduction

NTU COOL is now entering its third year of full implementation, and we want to thank all faculty and students for their continued use and feedback. From our past phone and email interactions, we’ve noticed that most issues arise at the start of the semester. This newsletter focuses on "Common Start-of-Semester Problems" to help teachers, TAs, and students resolve any issues with COOL. We are also introducing two new features: "Subtitle Management" and "Gradescope," which we hope will make teaching easier and improve learning. 

Common Questions at the Start of the Semester…

Based on past records, we’ve listed the most common questions from teachers, students, and TAs and created an overview for each group to help new users get started with NTU COOL quickly:

• For Teachers: Feature overview, unable to create a course?  opening a course and adding TAs, adding auditors, adding students from other schools, and merging courses.
  
  
• For Students: Feature overview, changing your account name, merging Pre-U accounts with NTU accounts, unable to see your enrolled course on NTU COOL, and retaining your graduate account after direct-entry doctoral program.
  
  
• For TAs: Feature overview, assisting in course setup/merging courses, adding students from other schools, and resolving video playback issues.

Exciting New Features

This issue introduces two new features: the "Subtitle Management" feature, developed by our team, and "Gradescope," integrated with iGroup Taiwan. Gradescope helps teachers and TAs of large classes (100+ students) grade assignments more efficiently. We hope these features will make teaching easier and improve student learning:
