Recently I was asked to help recruiting a manager level position for a biotech company in Taipei, Taiwan. This biotech company has been a subsidiary of a US pharmaceutical company with major supports (both finance and personnel) from the parent company. It is now getting its own finance from both Taiwanese and US investors (total in the tens of millions USD) and wants to build its own team in Taiwan.
An ideal candidate would be someone with training in the pharmaceutical sciences or related field (pharmaceutics, physical pharmacy, biopharmaceutics, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry) and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in an industrial or academic setting. A minimum of BS degree is required with advanced degree a plus. This person needs to understand the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) requirements for new drug development. The company has experienced management team to develop the CMC strategy but will give the manager the full responsibility to manage/monitor execution by contract labs in Taiwan.
If you know of any person who may be interested in this position, would you ask them to send me their current CV? I’m going to be in Taiwan from 9/30-10/9 and can meet with them to discuss the opportunity if they like.
Thanks for your help.
