一、 資料庫簡介
本圖書庫收錄書籍約12餘萬本，眾多獨家珍本，分屬13個學科大類，並提供全文檢索、整本瀏覽、地圖檢索功能。
本圖庫從讀圖角度出發，深度挖掘中國近代文獻中的圖片，匯成《圖述百年-中國近代文獻圖庫》(1833~1949)。
提供近代出版的知名大報、小報總計逾15種，包括字林西報、大公報、時報、民國日報、益世報、上海泰晤士報、盛京時報等。
收錄1911年至1949年出版的兩萬餘種期刊，近一千萬篇文獻，內容集中反映這一時期的政治、軍事、外交、經濟、教育、思想文化、宗教等各方面的情況，分為12輯出版(本館已訂購第1-11輯)。
收錄1833-1911年間出版的500餘種期刊，有晚清小說大繁榮時期湧現的四大小說期刊，宣揚婦女解放和思想啟蒙的婦女類期刊，介紹先進技術、傳播科學知識的科技類期刊等。分為2輯出版。

文學庫：精選近300種文學類期刊，電影庫：精選300餘種電影期刊，並進行全文識別。

1. Description
■ Books of Modern China 1840-1949: The database contains more than 120,000 books, including the treasured collections unique to the Shanghai Library. Support both Full-text and intra-book search. Search results can be accurately located and highlighted.
■ The Picture Gallery of Chinese Modern Literature: Shanghai Library has a wealth collection of important literature such as modern Chinese books, Periodicals, Newspapers, and old photographs. Based on these rare collections, the platform intends to integrate all the pictures in modern Chinese literature and present them in 16 categories like photograph, woodcut, calligraphy, map, and sculpture, Now, over 1.2 million pictures have been included.
■ Chinese/English Newspaper of Modern China: Newspapers database plans to include over 4,000 Chinese and English newspapers from 1850-1952, and has introduced nearly 1,000 of them, including many well-known ones like The North-China Daily News & Herald 1850-1951, Ta Kung Pao 1902-1949, The Eastern Times 1904-1939, The Republican Daily News 1916-1947, Yi Shih Pao 1915-1949, The Shanghai Times 1925-1943 and Sheng-ching Shih-pao 1906-1944.
■ Chinese Periodical Full-text Database (Series12): It covers around 10,000,000 pieces of literature in about 20,000 different kinds of periodicals published between 1911 and 1949.
■ The Late Qing Full-text Database (Supplement): It covers over 500,000 pieces of historical documents from 500 periodicals published during 1833~1911. The extensive collection has covered almost all the periodicals published during such critical periods later known as the Opium Wars, Westernization Movement, Reform Movement of 1898 and Revolution of 1911. It contains the Women's Periodicals that advocated women's liberation and mental enlightenment, the Four Major Late Qing Dynasty Novel Journals as emerged during the great flourishing period of novels of the late Qing Dynasty, the Vernacular Chinese Periodicals founded to explore the people's mind and spread new knowledge, and the Science and Technology Periodicals which introduced new technologies and spread scientific knowledge.
Chinese Periodical of Modern China- Literature Collection (OCR) (1872~1949) has selected 278 literature periodicals, amount to over 660,000 pages for full-text digital identification.
Chinese Periodical of Modern China - Film Collection (OCR) (1921~1949) has selected 325 film periodicals with more than 130,000 articles for full-text digital identification.

(1) Please go to the NTU Library Homepage and click “Search & Find”→ “E-resources”→ “Databases”→ “Trial”. And then click the link of the database you want to access in the trial list. To access trial databases from off-campus, please set up NTU SSL VPN.
