新增資料庫 World Bank Online Resources歡迎使用

本校經濟系推薦訂購之世界銀行(World Bank)製作的 World Development Indicators 資料庫已於今年七月一日正式停訂, 停訂理由是 World Bank 宣佈將此資料庫並同下述各資料庫提供全球人士免費參考使用, 以下為各資料庫之簡介, 這份清單未來將隨著世界銀行提供新的免費資料庫而增加數量, 敬請全校師生多加利用 這些免費電子資源。

World Development Indicators (WDI):提供社會與經濟的第一手數據資料資源,包括社會、經濟、財政、自然資源以及環境指標的數據資料庫。涵蓋超過900種開發國家的經濟指標資料,從1960年追蹤至今全球210個國家的歷史數據以及30個國際團體的統計數據。

Global Development Finance (GDF):是世界銀行針對發展中國家的債務財務狀況的年度報告。根據128個國家向世界銀行的債務人申報提供其外債的現今和預估資訊,時間涵蓋從1970年起至今,提供200項債務統計和金融流量指標。

Gender Statistics:提供主要性別主題的統計資料,這些主題包括人口、教育、健康、人力及政治參與。

Education Statistics:提供全球教育統計。

Health Nutrition and Population Statistics (HNP):提供全球重要的健康、營養與人口統計。

International Comparison Program (ICP)(2005):提供各國國內生產毛額(GDP)中價格資料與詳細支出價值的比較, 另還有世界經濟體的購買力平價(PPP)預估。

Quarterly External Debt Statistics/SDDS:提供服從國際貨幣基金會(International Monetary Fund, IMF) 之 SDDS (Special Data Dissemination Standard) 規範之國家的外債統計。

Quarterly External Debt Statistics/GDDS:提供 2008 年加入國際貨幣基金會(International Monetary Fund, IMF) 之 GDDS (General Data Dissemination System) 系統的國家的外債統計。

Africa Development Indicators (ADI):提供關於非洲經濟研究最齊全完整的資料,涵蓋時間從1961至2008年,內容來自53 個國家的資料,總計超過1600 種指標。主題包括社會、經濟、財務、自然資源、公共建設、政府統治、夥伴關係和環境指標等。

Global Economic Monitor (GEM):關於當代經濟趨勢、經濟和金融指標、總體經濟和商品價格預測最齊全的分析資料。 內容包括針對固定主題的每日、每週和每月的摘要。

Millennium Development Goals:邁向千禧發展目標的進步指標資料庫。

Doing Business為全球經商環境報告,對183個國家以及次國家及區域內所選城市的經商規則及其執行進行客觀的評量。

Description :

The World Bank’s new policy underscores its commitment to transparency and accountability as the premiere institution for international development.

In keeping with this new policy, the subscription-based databases including WDI and so on are now provided to the public free of charge.

Right now on the website of World Bank, you will find the following databases ready for reference.

World Development Indicators (WDI) & Global Development Finance (GDF): World Development Indicators (WDI) is the primary World Bank database for development data from officially-recognized international sources. Global Development Finance (GDF) provides external debt and financial flows statistics for countries that report public and publicly-guaranteed debt under the World Bank's Debtor Reporting System (DRS).    

Gender Statistics:Gender Statistics provides data on key gender topics. Themes included are demographics, education, health, labor force, and political participation.

Education Statistics:Education Statistics provides data on education from national statistical reports, statistical annexes of new publications, and other data sources.

Health Nutrition and Population Statistics (HNP):Health Nutrition and Population (HNP) Statistics provides key health, nutrition and population statistics gathered from a variety of international sources.

International Comparison Program (ICP)(2005):International Comparison Program (ICP) database provides a collection of comparative price data and detailed expenditure values of countries’ gross domestic products (GDP), and purchasing power parities (PPPs) estimates of the world’s economies.   

Quarterly External Debt Statistics/SDDS:Quarterly External Debt Statistics (QEDS) database provides detailed external debt data that are published individually by countries that subscribe to the IMF’s Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) as well as General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) participating countries that are in a position to produce the external debt data prescribed by the SDDS.  

Quarterly External Debt Statistics/GDDS:Quarterly External Debt Statistics (QEDS) provides external debt data for an extension of countries that participate in the IMF's General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) in February 2008.

Africa Development Indicators (ADI): Africa Development Indicators (ADI) provides the most detailed collection of development data on Africa.

Global Economic Monitor (GEM):The World Bank's Global Economic Monitor (GEM) data set provides real- and financial sector indicators in daily, monthly, quarterly and annual frequencies for developing and high-income countries, and regional and global aggregates. For example, industrial production, consumer prices, merchandise trade, exchange rates and equity market data are available. The GEM data set also includes international commodity prices for energy, agricultural, freight and metals and minerals prices. Where relevant and sufficient data is available, series are provided in both real and nominal terms. Similarly, seasonally adjusted series are provided with unadjusted series. GEM also provides latest actual and forecast data for key global commodity prices and headline macroeconomic indicators (by countries and aggregates). Series are updated each business day, capturing new observations as they become available. Data coverage varies by country.    

Millennium Development Goals: Database of official indicators for monitoring progress toward Millennium Development Goals.  

Doing BusinessThe Doing Business project provides objective measures of business regulations and their enforcement across 183 economies and selected cities at the subnational and regional level.
