Kuang-Lu Lee, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President of Hon Hai Precision Ind. Corp.

Dr. Kuang-Lu Lee is now the Executive Vice President of Hon Hai Precision Industry Corporation.  He assumed his role as General Manager of Hon Hai’s Communication Network Solution Business Group since Ambit Microsystems Corporation was merged by Hon Hai in April 2004. He is responsible for Hon Hai’s worldwide overall ODM and CM business in the communication segment.

During Dr. Lee’s tenure as the President of Ambit Microsystems Corporation from 1991 to 2004, Ambit successfully developed and manufactured intelligent power and connectivity product for the computer and communication industries and became the largest broadband Customer Premise Equipment supplier in the world.

Before founding Ambit, he was Senior Director at Acer Lab where he led the ASIC Design Division. Prior to that, Dr. Lee served as Analog Department Manager of Rockwell International and held various engineering and management positions in Rockwell International, AMD and National Semiconductor.

Dr. Lee received his Bachelor’s Degree from National Taiwan University, received a Master’s Degree from University of Washington and earned his Ph.D. from University of California at Berkeley, all in Electrical Engineering.

【IEEE Xplore與ASTM Digital Library 資料庫講習公告】

圖書館於2008年5月13日星期二在總圖四樓多媒體服務中心大團體使用室，舉辦IEEE Xplore與ASTM Digital Library 資料庫講習，歡迎有興趣同學線上報名參加。

IEEE Xplore 為美國電子電機工程師學會 (IEEE - the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 與英國工程技術學會 (IET - The Institution of Engineering and Technology) 所出版之電子全文資訊系統，內容包括 IEEE 與 IET 自 1988 年以來出版之期刊、會議論文集、及 IEEE 工業標準 電子全文資料，約有 1,100,000 篇文章，平均每月增加 50,000 頁新資料，全文採用 PDF 格式，全文影像與其紙本一致，包括讀者來函、投稿須知及所有圖表照片等資料。IEEE Xplore 收錄IEEE/IET(前稱為IEE)學會所出版之期刊, 會議論文與標準全文資料庫。

美國材料試驗協會(American Society for Testing and Materials，ASTM)，成立於 1898 年，是非營利性之國際標準制定組織，致力於滿足全球市場的標準化需求，為工業界的標準權威機構， 任務是制訂材料、產品、系統和檢測服務的標準；收錄包括金屬、石油、鋼鐵、紡織品、塑膠、電子產品、醫療設備服務、特殊化學製品等相關的標準文件。ASTM Digital Library 收錄ASTM出版之專書、期刊文章、技術報告、手冊等全文資料庫。

圖書館為使大家更瞭解上述資料庫的使用，特別邀請廠商到館講習，歡迎全校師生上網報名!
