一、資料庫簡介
此資料庫收錄19世紀美國各地城市與鄉村地區出版的報紙原始資料，記錄了關於國家和地方事件的新聞與資訊，包括新聞報導、廣告、社論與圖像，涵蓋主題包含19世紀美國內戰、非裔美國人的文化與歷史、西部擴張、南北戰爭前的社會樣貌等，呈現當時重大事件與日常生活的多元面貌，是研究美國歷史的資料來源。
試用日期：即日起至2025年8月31日止

1. 請從本館網頁點選「研究資源」→「電子資源」→「資料庫」→「試用資料庫」→ 點選欲查詢的資料庫名稱。若於校外，請先設定校外連線VPN。

Database trial : Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers
1. Description
Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers is a collection of primary source materials from urban and rural newspapers published across the United States during the 19th century. It includes news articles, advertisements, editorials, and images, offering useful materials for historical research. Covering a wide range of topics—such as the American Civil War, African American history and culture, westward expansion, and antebellum life—the collection provides a broad view of significant events and everyday experiences throughout the century.

2. Accessing the database
(1) Please go to the NTU Library Homepage and click “Search & Find”→ “E-resources”→ “Databases”→ “Trial”. And then click the link of the database you want to access in the trial list. To access trial databases from off-campus, please set up NTU SSL VPN.
(2) Please follow the terms and conditions in the database providers’ license agreements.
