The ideal candidate would be able to lead synthesis of novel and first-in-class drug candidates in collaboration with the drug discovery team. Successful candidates will ensure the development of strategic organic and medicinal chemistry approaches for the design and synthesis of novel compounds, maintain state-of-the-art awareness of scientific developments in their area of expertise and help to integrate new principles and concepts to enhance the capabilities of our drug discovery team while providing hands-on support for their projects.
●Position Qualifications:
* PhD in synthetic or medicinal chemistry
* 5+ years of productive, relevant post-doctoral employment experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical company or with group or section leader experience
* Demonstrated significant and quantifiable involvement in R&D efforts that have contributed to the development of small molecule clinical candidates
* Demonstrated track record in the modern drug design, SAR, synthesis and basic knowledge of pharmacology or biochemistry, as well as biological characterization of drug candidates
* Experienced in interacting with pharmacologists or biologists to move forward new projects
* Experienced in writing invention record and in interacting with patent lawyers
* Proven ability in conducting independent drug discovery research, including leadership of strategic planning of chemical patent protection
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in mandarin is a plus
2. Senior Pharmacologist
●Job Description:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated scientific expertise in the conception, development and implementation of new disease complex target model systems and to understand PK/PD relationships for various therapeutic modalities. The candidate will have responsibilities in leveraging external CROs and collaborating with academic institutions. In addition, the candidate will play a strong team player role in interfacing with members of Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry for project execution.
●Key Responsibilities:
* Independently, design and conduct disease relevant in vitro and in vivo models to measure on-target pharmacodynamic effects to drive structure-activity relationships (SAR) of novel therapeutics within drug discovery programs
* Have significant prior hands on experience in the pharmacology
* Critically analyze, interpret and integrate data effectively into formal reports and the ability to effectively communicate these results internally and externally
* Provides strong scientific and technical expertise and represents the pharmacology department on core project teams
* Collaborate effectively with the research group to establish clear priorities and seek alignment on a study plan that meets discovery needs on innovative experimental tumor/autoimmune diseases/liver/renal model systems for target validation, therapeutic testing and biomarker discovery
* Collaborate with the external CROs and academic collaborators to assure that discovery targets from a pharmacology perspectives are obtained as needed
