Visual Inference System for Automobile Safety (VISAS)

The holy grail of any Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is to enhance driving safety. In addition, it is preferable to develop systems with low-cost sensors. Toward this goal, it is of critical importance to develop systems that are able to accurately position vehicles with respect to surrounding objects (e.g., cars, automobiles and pedestrians).
