Envisioning the Future of Technologies
In March 2011 when Steve Jobs introduced the iPad 2, he summarized his philosophy that “technology alone is not enough—it’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing” (Lehrer, 2011). His insistence that “that computer scientists must work together with artists and designers” was perhaps the reason behind the series of remarkable accomplishments during Jobs’ tenure in Apple, Next Computing, and Pixar.
