Once again, here comes the springtime, does anyone miss the blooming azalea at the NTU campus? There have been filled with the cheerful high school students browsing all kinds of school clubs, scientific experiments and art galleries during the NTU Azalea Festival to welcome the NTU graduates for a meaningful homecoming.

There’s the excellent news announced recently: National Taiwan University has already been ranked as the top sixty universities according to the 2012 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Also, the 2012 NTU Azalea Festival has just been held. What’s more, the greater international expansion to Russia and Iran also made it done that National Taiwan University has already signed the contracts for academic exchanges. Donations from NTU graduates have also done quite a great contribution, making National Taiwan University the top university in the world nowadays: Law School Alumni donated NT$ 10 million to Center for Public Policy and Law.

Additionally, the female professors from National Taiwan University also proved that both the two genders are able to achieve something great equally by receiving the great honor of the 2012 Taiwan Outstanding Women in Science. As well, researchers from National Taiwan University have shown the great achievement of conserving and reserving the environments by promoting the restoration of the forests.

National Taiwan University has been showing the whole world with our great research results in all kinds of academic areas, especially in the medical field. Recently, NTU Medical School has already detected genetic diseases in embryos using new approach, and the researchers have successfully developed nanotechnology biochip to identify bacteria in blood. All these contributions prove that it is officially the age of cross-boundary technology, making the integration done with electronic information, biotechnology, theories and even social humanities. National Taiwan University hopes greater and more advanced performances can be achieved so that we can do the contribution for caring the society in Taiwan.
