NTU has been ranked the 81st/the 90th place in the UK Times world university reputation rankings; concurrently, in the Academic Rankings of Chinese Universities released by Shanghai Jiao-tong University, NTU was tied for first place with the Tsing-hua University of Beijing.

NTU is pursuing greater international cooperation so as to effectively attract students from overseas. It has established cooperation programs with prestigious international universities including MIT, Harvard and the University of California. Moreover, to expand cross-strait academic exchanges, we have invited faculty and students from Peking University to participate in NTU's Peking University Day, which was launched on the NTU campus for the first time.

As to obtaining budgetary resources, NTU received NT$ 3.1 billion, or over 30%, of the NT billion allocated by the MOE for the 2nd phase of its “Aim for Top University Program.” Supported by these funds, we at NTU aim to internationalize research and teaching in a new perspective and with the aim of entering the ranks of the top 50 universities in the world!

Our students’ performances are nothing short of amazing. In this year’s National Collegiate Sports Meet, NTU won 32 gold, 17 silver, and 22 bronze medals. The College of Law debate team was the runner-up in the WTO global moot court English competition.
