DeepSleep: IEEE 802.11 Enhancement for Energy-Harvesting Machine-to-Machine Communications

This article talks about useful algorithms to solve the problems that machine-to-machine (M2M) communications encounter. The energy-harvesting modules then convert the ambient energy to usable electricity, which can support M2M devices’ power usage not only for data processing but also for communications. The prominent energy harvesting technology makes M2M communications cost-effective and energy-efficient. Once the M2M network is deployed, they can support their power requirement and operate on their own without human intervention.
